"Navigating
Economic Development Opportunities and Challenges in Regional Planning" This event will focus on the economic-development aspects of the GO TO 2040 comprehensive regional plan, which the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is developing with partners and residents across the seven-county region.
These and other matters will be part of Randy Blankenhorn's presentation at the EDC's August 26 luncheon, titled "Navigating Economic Development Opportunities and Challenges in Regional Planning." Randy is the Executive Director of CMAP, which is responsible for land use and transportation planning across the counties of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will. He has over twenty years of experience in planning and development with the Illinois Department of Transportation and other state and regional agencies before joining CMAP. The luncheon is a noon, at the Tower Club, 39th floor, 20 North Wacker Drive, Chicago. The cost of the lunch and program is $35 for EDC members and $50 for non-members.
