In the fourth and final Technology Commercialization Task Force forum for 2005, we will define an economic development roadmap for the region to obtain the benefits of technology.
This is the third of a four program series organized by the Technology Commercialization Task Force of the Economic Development Council . The series concludes on September 21, 2005 with "Defining an Economic Development Roadmap for the Region to Obtain the Benefits of Technology."
Drawing on the previous three forums "Technology Development in the Region: Report on Assets and Suggestions for Improvement" (March 22, 2005), "An Assessment of the Promise of Technology Related Growth" (April 26, 2005), and "Impacting Commercialization of Technology in the Region" (May 19, 2005) Working Committees will present their strategies for economic development in the region that can help improve the overall economic health of the area through the use of technology.
Presentations concerning the following topics will be made: academic institutions, bioinformatics, biotechnology, computers, facilities & infrastructure, international, inter-regional connection, manufacturing technologies, measuring success and nanotechnology.
