Mission Statement

The Economic Development Council is a not-for-profit Illinois corporation. The EDC provides a forum for current economic and business development issues. Its goals include educating EDC members and the general public on issues, problems and programs affecting economic and business development and providing a network of contacts among people and organizations working on economic and business development.

The EDC is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) not for profit organizatioin.

The initial development of the website was underwritten by The Coleman Foundation. It is now maintained through the ongoing support of our Corporate and Sustaining Members. Please note these members and thank them for their ongoing support.
